Brands Hatch's 2023 headline event calendar kicks off with the opening round of this year's British Truck Racing Championship on Easter Weekend (Saturday 8/Sunday 9 April). Two days of heavyweight action are planned at the famous Kent circuit, with five races for monstrous trucks topping the bill.

The British Truck Racing Championship is unlike anything else you'll see in domestic motorsport, with giant track prepared HGVs which weigh in at five tonnes. Under the skin these machines have little in common with their roadgoing counterparts. With 1000 horsepower and acceleration capabilities to match a Porsche 911 these race trucks are true thoroughbred racing machines.

There is plenty of local interest on this year's British Truck Racing Championship grid too, with Kent landlord Steve Powell expected to appear at his home circuit. Powell, who is long established as one of the series' stalwart competitors, runs a pub in nearby West Kingsdown and always aims to put on a show at Brands Hatch.

Beyond the showpiece British Truck Racing Championship fixtures, there will be a colourful support race programme throughout the weekend. This will include the popular Pickup Truck Racing Championship, which brings NASCAR-style stock car thrills to British racetracks.

Other highlights will include one-make action from the MINI CHALLENGE Coopers, Kumho BMW Championship, Hyundai Coupe Cup, Caterham Graduates and the MG Owners Club Championship.

More widely, the event is set up to offer families and individuals of all ages a fun Easter day out. Extra attractions available around the venue will include show truck displays, driver autograph sessions Easter egg hunts, funfair rides and much more.

The British Truck Racing Championship fixture launches Brands Hatch into a busy season, with other key meetings following thick and fast. The venue's first round of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship will take place on 6/7 May, a week ahead of the flagship international Fanatec GT World Challenge meeting on 13/14 May.

Adult admission tickets are available in advance for £25 in advance for main race day (Sunday) with reductions for 13-15-year-olds and free entry for under-13s. Advance sales close at 4pm on Wednesday 5 April with tickets available on the gate at  full price on the day. For more information and to book now, please click here.
