Getting to Kent's Brands Hatch race circuit via public transport will be easier than ever before, with the introduction of a dedicated shuttle bus service for selected events this summer and autumn. Buses will run to and from the circuit from Swanley railway station on four major race days.
Brands Hatch Shuttle Buses will run every half hour from the bus stop on Azelea Drive in Swanley to a dedicated drop off point outside the circuit's main gate just off the A20. Step-free access is available between the bus stop and destination at each end of the route.
Buses will operate between 8am and 8pm on Sunday main race days, starting from the popular summer round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship on the Grand Prix circuit on 24 July. Later in the year, the service will run at the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season finale on 9 October and the Bennetts BSB title decider a week later on 16 October.
Brands Hatch Shuttles will also take passengers to and from the annual Trucks and Fireworks spectacular at the venue on Sunday 6 November.
Tickets to use the service are just £5 for a return ticket, and under-13s can travel for free. These can be purchased in advance now through each event's official ticketing page at www.brandshatch.co.uk. If you already have event tickets, you can proceed directly to the optional extras section and purchase bus tickets only.
Brands Hatch Circuit Manager, Mike Lally, said: "We're constantly trying to improve the Brands Hatch experience for all visitors and making it easier than ever to access the venue for major fixtures on public transport is part of that. This will allow us to reduce the number of private vehicles approaching and leaving the venue at peak times, and offers a quick, simple and affordable link to London's public transport network and beyond. The service will initially run at four of our most popular events ahead of a slightly expanded schedule in 2023."
