The ESBK Spanish Superbike Championship will race twice at Circuito de Navarra this year, following confirmation of an updated calendar from the Real Federacion Motociclista Espanola (RFME).

This means that ESBK will now race at the venue in northern Spain on 19/20 July in addition to the previously agreed date on 30/31 August. Both events will feature two headline Superbike races in addition to a full programme of further championships organised by the RFME.

This decision comes following ESBK’s 2024 visit to Circuito de Navarra which was the first motorcycle race event following the completion of a new and improved circuit layout. The changes, aimed at creating a faster and more flowing challenge, were lauded at the time by ESBK competitors including race winners Ivo Lopes and Steven Odendaal.

MSV Chief Executive, Jonathan Palmer, said: “I’m extremely pleased that the ESBK Spanish Superbike Championship will hold two events at Circuito de Navarra this year, for the first time in its history.

“ESBK was the first motorcycle event to take place on the newly extended layout following the completion of our redevelopment last summer, and the RFME’s decision to run an additional weekend in 2025 is a great endorsement of the changes we’ve made. We intend to repay that faith by delivering the best possible experience for the riders, the officials and the spectators at the circuit.

“We already enjoy a strong and productive relationship with the RFME and we look forward to working even more closely with them in the future to help develop motorcycle racing at Circuito de Navarra and beyond.”
