Josh Cook topped the times during the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship’s final pre-season test at Donington Park this week. The 2025 BTCC season kicks off competitively at the East Midlands circuit in just over a week’s time on 26/27 April.
Cook moved to the top of the order during a late flurry of qualifying runs in his One Motorsport Honda Civic Type R, to just edge out three-time champion Ash Sutton’s NAPA Racing UK Ford Focus ST by three thousandths of a second. The latter’s teammate Dan Cammish rounded out the top-three.
Behind them, Chris Smiley was fourth in the first of Restart Racing’s Hyundai i30Ns with Tom Ingram’s similar Team Vertu car fifth quickest overall with a time set in the morning session. Sam Osborne and Tom Chilton were sixth and seventh, ahead of multiple title winner Gordon Shedden who returns to the grid with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK this season.
Adam Morgan and Mikey Doble rounded out the top-10 with reigning champion Jake Hill only managing 19th.
