Brands Hatch’s 2025 major event season kicks off with a bumper race weekend from the British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC) on the Indy circuit over Easter (19/20 April). Two days of action are planned, with five headline contests and much more besides to look forward to on the first bank holiday weekend of the year.
The BTRC will deliver two entertaining days of action, with a pair of races on Saturday followed by three more on Sunday afternoon. A grid of 20 five-tonne race trucks is expected at the Kent circuit, with entries split across two classes – Division 1 for the most finely tuned race machines and Division 2 for trucks running closer to production specification.
Race trucks are unlike anything else you can see in British motorsport, packing a heavyweight punch both in terms of size and power. With 1000 horsepower planted beneath the bonnet, these monsters can rival a Porsche 911 in the initial acceleration phase.
Notable entrants on this year’s grid include serial title winner Ryan Smith, undoubtedly one of the BTRC’s modern greats. Amongst his chief rivals will be fellow champion racers Stuart Oliver and David Jenkins in addition to local landlord and Brands Hatch favourite Steve Powell.
The BTRC races will be the main attraction for many throughout the weekend, but it will be a busy two days out on the circuit beyond that with a stellar BARC support race package. This includes a range of grids from the Classic Touring Car Racing Club, plus the Milltek Civic Cup, Junior Saloon Car Championship, Track Action Racing Club and the Caterham Graduates Championship.
Activities will span beyond the circuit itself too, with a range of off-track attractions including the ever-popular show truck displays. These will line the main spectator thoroughfare through the venue, with pristine fleet models, specialist trucks and retro haulers all joining the fun. Many of these will then bring the event to a close with a parade following the end of racing on Sunday.
Children will be invited to engage in a bit of bonus Easter fun with a free trail and clue hunt around the site too. You can register to take part at the Megastore and after finding the secret letters you can return to claim a prize.
Will also be an autograph session with the BTRC drivers in the paddock on Sunday, fairground attractions, monster truck rides and much more!
Tickets are available at discounted advance prices until next Thursday (17 April) with further reductions for 13-15-year-olds and FREE entry for under-13s. Adult entry starts from £19 with weekend or single-day options available. Click here to book now.
