Circuito de Navarra hosts the Navarra Historic Festival, headlined by the Historic Grand Prix Car Association (HGPCA) this weekend (Sunday 20 October). The retro showcase will transport visitors back in time with a field of stunning Formula 1 cars from the ‘50s and ’60s taking to the venue’s all-new circuit layout.

A stunning selection of pre-1966 Grand Prix cars has been assembled by the HGPCA, including examples of the Maserati 250F as raced successfully by Juan Manuel Fangio during the earlier years of the Formula 1 World Championship. Other special cars lining up include machinery from Lotus, Cooper and Brabham alongside other iconic names from a classic era.

Spectators can enjoy a mixture of front and rear-engined machinery from a golden age on one magnificent grid, with two 25-minute races scheduled for the HGPCA competitors. Fans can take a closer look at the star cars from a bygone era of Grand Prix competition during a spectator pit walk in the middle of the day.

Additional event highlights will include appearance from Spanish Car Club ‘Formula Vintage’ and French group ‘Pilotage Pour Tous’. Other special cars will appear as part of on-track sessions alongside classic car displays off the circuit. Owners of pre-1995 cars are also welcome to attend the event for free and all classic car owners will be invited to join in with a parade around the updated Circuito de Navarra layout at the end of the day.

This weekend’s event is just the second competitive race meeting at Circuito de Navarra since the completion of a multi-million Euro redevelopment programme throughout 2024. The changes, which include the creation of a faster, more flowing driving experience, have received rave reviews from track day participants and those who raced during the MSVR Autumn Festival earlier this month.

Tickets for the Navarra Historic Festival on Sunday 20 October are available for just 5€ with a reduced rate of 3€ for children. Circuito de Navarra members may attend for free without booking. Click here for more details.
